Independent iPhone app: An update

UPDATE: 30/03/2011 We’ve rolled out a whole new set of free apps today, for iPhone, Blackberry and Android phone. Click here to download them.

Good news: Not only has our free iPhone app been updated for optimal performance with iOS4, it works no matter how you hold the handset. The new iOS4 app also works perfectly with older iOS3 too now.

If you own an iPhone and none of this means anything to you, fear not; just click here to see the listing on iTunes, download the update (presuming you haven’t got the app already, in which case, get it), and you’re good to go. All previous clever features like loading the feeds so you can read the news even when you’re out of reception, and displaying an unread count to show in what areas you have nuggets of our wisdom yet to read have been preserved.

And finally, we are, of course, always looking for feedback. Let us know in the comments and ratings on iTunes, and in the comments section here, what you think of the update and we’ll try our best to accommodate any suggestions in future releases of the app.
