Japanese Judo champ joins the Olympic countdown
It’s two years until the start of the 2012 London Olympics. Various events are taking place today – American runner Michael Johnson will be running around the half-built Olympic Stadium and Sir Chris Hoy will be making use of the Velodrome.
Meanwhile the Foreign Office has begun a video series in which Olympic stars from abroad, working here in England, give their impressions of the UK. It starts with the Japanese Judo champion Kosei Inoue who gives a fascinating insight into the origins of Judo on these shores and who can also be seen kicking some ass as well.
