There is a new pretender to the throne of the coveted 250cc market, trying to steal the Ninja’s dominance, so we put the new kid on the block, the Honda, up against its market leading rival, to see who comes out on top.

  Why is even the 250cc market dominated by these ’suicide machines?’ When will we return to sensible, stable plodders that will get you to work reliably without spectacular wheelies and death defying near misses with other traffic. A 250 cc machine should deliver about 50 PS tops and return about 80 mpg. You can no longer buy such a machine, hell I would even consider a diesel! City commuters are crying out for such a machine even if they have zero ’street cred’.
