Caught & Social: Pair party for Russia with love

Untitled 22 200x300 Caught & Social: Pair party for Russia with loveAnne Hathaway might be a member of the Hollywood A-list but supermodel Natalia Vodianova was the guest of honour at last night’s For Russia With Love party. The event, hosted by Sadie Frost at the W Hotel in London, was set up to launch a partnership between Vodianova’s Naked Heart Foundation and the W’s venue in St Petersburg. After a dinner to raise funds and awareness for the charity, the pair made use of the hotel’s reputation as a party venue to do just that, and invite more glamorous people (and C&S) for a late-night soirée.

PDiddy could changethe name of his label from “Bad Boy Records”to “Well- Mannered Young Man Records”after he hired an etiquette teacher for staff. Lessons include “use of dinnerware at formal events, how to hold chopsticks and how to present a business card in Japan… how to choose wine, hold a wine glass and eat caviar.”We imagine Mr Diddy gets very angry when you eat the beluga with the wrong spoon.

An anonymous blog claiming to be froma Sony executive claims (among other allegations) that Britain’s Got Talent signed up favourite Ronan Parke two years ago and prepared him for the show. A spokesman for the show denied the claims, but he didn’t say they weren’t happy with all the publicity.

Starry starry night

There might have been a hullabaloo about the amateur art at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition, but there were no such questions about the quality of artists at the event’s launch party. Tracey Emin and members of the RA led the way, while guests including Dame Judi Dench and Ewan McGregor were also at the event, for which tickets cost up to £525 each. C&S was most attracted by the promise of oysters from the nearby Green’s restaurant, but we were told there was nice art too.
