Just another weekend for the improbably famous Beckham family. Matriarch Victoria gave the world another glimpse at her latest, much talked-about child Harper Seven, as she posted this picture online of father and baby. David did some revealing of his own as he displayed a new tattoo with his daughter’s name on it, though she might struggle to find it among the other mass of blue ink. Meanwhile family friend and celebrity angry chef Gordon Ramsay looked after their respective broods at the LA Galaxy match against FC Dallas, inset. As well as taking in the game, the muliple- Michelin star holder also took in his share of the finest pizza and soda on offer in the private box.

Brits invade Lollapalooza

Meanwhile Ellie Goulding, who played wedding singer at the other Royal Wedding this year, was part of the mini Brit invasion at the mouthful of an event – Lollapalooza in Chicago, at the weekend. Goulding was part of a roster which included Coldplay, the Arctic Monkeys, TwoDoor Cinema Club, Noah and the Whale, and the former Clash guitarist Mick Jones, who played as part of a Big Audio Dynamite reunion.

Westwood takes on the royals

Dame Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler arrive at the Mozart Matinée at the Salzburg Festival in Austria this weekend. Dame Vivienne opted for the medieval princess look. We only mention it as she has some advice for recent royal the Duchess of Cambridge. After criticising Kate’s “eye make-up”, she addressed the Duchess’s dress sense. “Let me put it this way,”she told The Sunday Times. “It seems to me, that her image is ‘ordinary woman’. Therefore, high-street shopper. And I just think she should be an extraordinary woman… Your clothes communicate something about you.” C&S would like to see Will and Kate dressed like Dame Vivienne and Andreas, now that would be extraordinary.

Scene & heard

Expect to see a lot more of Sally Bercow. The celebrity sheet-wearer, Twitterer and wife of the Speaker of the House of Commons, will be a contestant in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother, her husband’s biographer Bobby Friedman has confirmed. Husband John, is said to be “very much opposed to her going on the programme”. He is no doubt aware that of those who enter the house, few leave with their dignity still intact, not unlike his own place of work.

Dignity and honesty, meanwhile, comes from Jane Fonda, 73, who is very frank about the effort involved to look the way she does. “There’s a hair person, a make-up person, a stylist – it doesn’t just happen,”she tells the Mail on Sunday. “I exercise regularly – about five or six days a week if I can – even though I’ve had a hip and knee replacement… I also watch what I eat, I meditate, I have enough money to get a trainer and have massages, and I’ve had plastic surgery.”

Smiles and tears for Zara

Newlyweds Mike Tindall and Zara Phillips looked to be enjoying their non-honeymoon at yesterday’s Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park. The pair, who married just over a week ago in Scotland, postponed a honeymoon to focus on sport – him with a rugby ball and her on a horse. But the day wasn’t to prove a completely happy one for equestrian Zara. She was reported to be in tears when she had to retire her favourite horse – Toytown.
