Caught & Social: Teen Choice Awards are a scream

Untitled 131 Caught & Social: Teen Choice Awards are a screamTeen Choice Awards in LA reward stars young and old, from veterans to the future contestants on Celebrity Rehab. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were the couple attracting the most screams as they both picked up awards and put on a public display of affection worthy of some sort of prize. Also affectionate were former Harry Potter colleagues Robert Pattinson and Rupert Grint, who were hanging out back stage. Mark Wahlberg was also spotted back stage, picking up free stuff, while the seemingly omnipresent David Beckham was hanging out with fellow Brit Cat Deeley. Meanwhile the Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie might want to consider working on her “gracious loser face” after she was caught on camera looking decidedly unhappy after her husband Josh Duhamel lost out to Ashton Kutcher. The Peas were also nominated in three categories but failed to win.

Scene & heard

Also speaking his mind is Kanye West, who has compared himself to one of the worst war criminals in history. In a rant at the Big Chill Festival, he said: “I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street and people look at me like I’m f***ing insane; like I’m Hitler. One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did.” Our final piece of celebrity controversy comes from Big Boi, a member of OutKast, who has been arrested on drugs charges in Miami. Police reportedly discovered ecstasy, MDMA powder and, wait for it, Viagra in his possession. At least we now know where he got his nickname. Jeremy Irons has hit out at those PC types who get the law involved when a chap puts his hand on the backside of a lady. “Most people are robust,” he tells Radio Times, before imploring: “If a man puts his hand on a woman’s bottom, any woman worth her salt can deal with it. It’s communication. Can’t we be friendly?”

Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde arrived at a Berlin TV station to promote their new film Cowboys and Aliens in Germany. While Craig looks nothing but the very embodiment of youth, he admitted recently that delays over the latest Bond film, made him worry he had played 007 for the last time. “They were just in a very complicated financial situation but there was nothing [the film-makers] could do,”he told Esquire. “Either it was going to sort itself out or I was going to get too old and that would be the end of it.”

“Sooty’s very sorry. He never intended to knock Paul out, but he hopes Paul enjoyed the pizza. He didn’t know his own strength” A spokesman for Sooty apologises after the puppet injured Paul Daniels with a pizza

Panic on the streets…

As London burns, at least Morrissey could toss in his two penn’orth. “Has David Cameron ever been to Tottenham?” he asked the Brixton Academy crowd. He then mentioned those who attacked Charles and Camilla’s car last year. “In what our slanted media called the ‘student riots’, Charles and ‘Camel’ came face-to-face with the British public,”he said. “I couldn’t stop laughing for weeks – no, months.”

The Teens Choice Award is one of those awards that most adults do not take seriously. This teenage generation know how to exert their right and make the most out of their young years by speaking their mind.
