iBet: Watford have a poor record against West Ham
Watford v West Ham

Watford played some very exciting football last season before losing some momentum late on and finishing 14th in the Championship. However, losing both manager Malky Mackay and Danny Graham has hit them hard. They had a pretty mediocre pre-season with losses to Wimbledon and Colchester and a draw with Brentford. The only team they beat was Whealdstone and two Championship games so far have yielded just a point; although they did throw away a two goal lead at Burnley in their first game before losing at home to Derby at the weekend. They could struggle this season. Although West Ham had a great pre-season with defeats of Zaragoza and Copenhagen real eye-openers, it was no great surprise to see the Irons beaten on their first game of the season and it was a useful wake-up call to life at this level. The appointment of Sam Allardyce as manager is a major plus for the Londoners and as well as keeping hold of most of his top players so far, the signing of Kevin Nolan is massive. Watford also have a pretty poor record against West Ham and have won only five of their 19 meetings. At the price Watford are worth laying.
