Caught & Social: The Hoffs’ new pop dynasty
If you thought that one Hasselhoff in the packed world of celebrity was already enough, think again. Hayley Amber and Taylor-Ann left the ITV studios yesterday with their ageless father David. The girls are following in their father’s musical footsteps in a new duo Bella Vida, and yesterday showed off their new, catchily titled single “Kiss Kiss Me Bang Bang”on the Lorraine show. If cheesy auto-tuned dance is your thing, then this song’s for you.

If you’re still whistling “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” by Will Smith, then you’re in luck, the actor is making a comeback. The Grammy- Award winner is teaming up with producer La Mar “Mars” Edwards to make his first album since 2005. “We’re working on Will Smith, bringing him back,” He told XXLMag.com.
He could take a tip from Noel Gallagher on getting feedback for his new work. “I played it to a person, they said ‘Good God, that’s so good, that’s probably the best stuff you’ve ever done, this easily puts you in the same bracket at Bowie, McCartney and Elvis Costello,’”he told Absolute Radio. “And do you know who said that? My mum.”
A Gerald Ratner moment from Andy Hendrickson? The chief technical officer at Disney has said that the script for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland wasn’t that good. “People say, ‘It’s all about the story’. When you’re making tentpole films, bulls**t,” he said. “The story isn’t very good, but [the] spectacle brought people in droves. And Johnny Depp didn’t hurt.”
Australia’s joy at ‘Lucky’ classic
Kylie Minogue links arms with friend and choreographer William Baker while on holiday in Portofino, Italy. The pair are believed to be using the trip to work on a musical about her career. Speaking of her career, one of Minogue’s early musical efforts has been recognised at the National Film and Sound Archive in her native Australia as an example of the country’s musical “heritage”. The chosen song was the 1987 hit “I Should Be So Lucky”, rightly considered a modern classic. Minogue tweeted her joy at the news “What an honour for myself, Stock, Aitken and Waterman!”What an honour too for Australia.

At the W Hotel in London, designer Ron Arad and cobbler Patrick Cox were showing off their WOW bike designs last night. The extravagant concept bikes were designed by the pair and four others and will be auctioned later this year in aid of the Elton John Aids Foundation. For obvious reasons, Arad said he wasn’t planning on riding his bike. Cox, however, said he hoped to ride his “super sexy” three wheel cupcake bike through the streets of Soho.
