Back Wales at 7.2 to one without New Zealand for the tournament with Betfair

It’s the most exciting weekend of the Rugby World Cup so far and my decision to get with Wales for tournament is not really made with a view to thinking that they will probably win it outright; but rather that they offer the best value. They have just as much chance of going deep into the tournament as some teams at much shorter prices like Ireland and France. We have to presume the Welsh will take care of Fiji on Sunday and finish second in Group D, but judging by their outstanding performances so far that looks very likely. If they do and everything else goes to form, they have a very interesting run in the knock-out phase which should see the avoid the likes of New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. Wales would have every chance of beating Ireland in the first quarter final on 8 October, and would then meet either England or France in the semi final – again a game that looks winnable. Were they to win against Ireland we could lay the bet off and win whatever happens from there.

Advices

England have been priced up at a ridiculous 1-7 on to beat Scotland on Saturday– and that looks way too short. England will probably win but they start slowly, have not played that well and are no-one’s 1-7 shot in my view.

  I also think they are worth punting at 37 to one for the tournament with New Zealand because if they beat Ireland they will be about 12-1 and we can back to lay.
