Did Nixon have a gay affair with a Mafia fixer?

The Daily Mail is doing it only to disrupt my displacement activity. I had just finished my round-up of the year’s Questions to Which the Answer is No for the purpose of announcing the 2011 awards, when they give me this – number 746 in the interminable series.

I know it is quiet on the news front between Christmas and the New Year – “Man to leave hospital after being in hospital” and that sort of thing, as Tom Sutcliffe pointed out – but the Mail also repeats another story for at least the second time. No need to rub it in, just because I got it wrong at the time: “Belgrano was ‘fair target’.”

I have admitted my mistake.
