Royal horse rider Zara Phillips showed she had the common touch as and husband Mike Tindall took in the raucous action at the World Darts Championship final at Alexandra Palace in London. The actor Ralf Little seemed a little surprised by his fellow VIP guests, but of course he shouldn’t have been. Scene & Heard

Illuminating responses to a questionnaire come in the new Vanity Fair. George Clooney says he would like to be reincarnated as his dog as “he lives better”. His friend Matt Damon says he was at his happiest “in our bed, making our children, and in the hospital watching them being born”. And Daniel Craig, pictured, claims that his most marked characteristic is his “third nipple”. If indeed it exists, let’s hope it appears in the next Bond film.

Actress Tilda Swinton, meanwhile, claims that she’s, er, not actually an actress. “I’ve been making it up as I go along,” she tells The New York Times. “In fact, I never set out to be an actor. Still am not, really.”

Also self-reflecting is Sir Elton John, who sees the similarly handsome Justin Timberlake as the perfect person to play him in a proposed biopic. “I’ve got a wish list of people,” he tells the LA Times. “Number one on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of ‘Rocket Man’ and was superb.”
