Overweight commuters, do your bit for 2012 and get thin now!
After launching the Crush Index, I had a fresh idea as a lady used my (well-sprayed) armpit to turn her book page on the Central Line today.
Was glad to be of help…
That set me thinking. And my conclusion was that overweight folk like me need to do our bit to help travellers during the Olympics.
Today’s Crush Index reached a new record of 26 (passengers standing in the gap between the twin doors) and there might have been a pixie or two in there as well. There had, btw, been problems just up from Stratford around Leytonstone.
Do you reckon we commuters could lose an average 1st (6.4kg) each before 27 July? Boris would be so grateful he might even get the Jubilee Line fixed.
With 26st (165kg) less in the Crush Index zone, that’s enough for a shot-putter or several young female gymnasts.
Do your bit for Britain. Spurn the chips, count the calories in a bottle of vino, walk up the stairs beside the escalator.
Or buy a strangely coloured tracksuit and pretend you’re a shot-putter.
