Zaha Hadid wins Jane Drew Prize
Zaha Hadid has been awarded the revived Jane Drew Prize for her contribution to the status of women in architecture, the Architects’ Journal website reports today. Hadid will be presented with the award at the AJ Women in Architecture luncheon on April 20 where winners of the Woman Architect of the Year and Emerging Woman Architect of the Year will also be announced (see the shortlist here). Writing for the AJ, Richard Waite said: “More than 300 out of nearly 650 women polled in the AJ Women in Architecture survey named Hadid as having made the greatest contribution to the status of women in architecture.
