The Independent on Google Currents
Update 15/05/12: Our Google Currents edition now has more than 200,000 subscribers. Download the app here on Android and here on iOS
Last night Google launched their mobile application Currents outside the US, and we’re delighted to be amongst the featured publishers for the international launch. Currents is an app for Android and iOS that lets readers subscribe to editions from popular newspapers and magazines and read stories within the app itself on their Android or iPhone.
The international edition also features Google Translate for international readers, for whom The Independent can be translated into any of 37 languages.
Google’s blogspot on the launch is here, and you can download the app here on Android and here on iOS. Let us know what you think – we’ll be tweaking the edition over the next few weeks
