Are the best neighbours from Yorkshire?

goodlife 1 396x222 300x168 Are the best neighbours from Yorkshire?Apparently so, according to a new survey of 1,000 homeowners from insurance company More Th>n which reveals that the attributes of the perfect neighbour include:

* offering you a housewarming bottle of wine within three days of moving into a new home
* babysitting your children 10 times a year
* asking no more than two favours a month, such as signing for parcels or mowing a shared lawn
* inviting you round to their place for a meal/BBQ at least half a dozen times a year
* living in Yorkshire – bottom of the list came neighbours in Wales, then the East Midlands and Greater London
* returning borrowed items within 16 days
* returning balls/Frisbees which have sailed over the garden fence
* never cutting plants which have partially grown from your garden into theirs without asking permission
* offering to keep an eye on your house when you are on holiday
* aged between 35 and 44

The ideal neighbour also tends to avoide eye contact over the garden fence but, when necessary, does engage in small talk (but for no longer than four minutes).

    I live in South Yorkshire and can attest to that :)

    Definately. But folk from Yorkshire should read a health warning before coming to places like London. Chances are the locals there may struggle to reciprocate.

    I have been looking on http://www.hoodpoints.com/ and South Yorkshire is ranked pretty good!

    There are good neighbours in each region, its not exclusive to any region.

    I am a southerner that has lived in West Yorkshire for a number of years now and I can say that each has their different culture
