hand shake2 300x225 How to build a healthy landlord tenant relationshipPerhaps surprisingly, a new survey suggests that tenants have a positive relationship with their landlord – 76% of tenants said their landlord-tenant relationship was good, while landlords were even more positive with 96% describing a positive bond.

Regular communication is the key to a good relationship for 82% of landlords, says the report from digital inventory platform provider Imfuna. For tenants the key is more about clear contracts or tenancy agreements (65%).

“The common perception is that the relationship between landlords and tenants can be a fraught one,” says Jax Kneppers of Imfuna. “The survey however presents a picture of a more amicable connection. The real key to a harmonious landlord-tenant relationship is transparency, which should come at the start of the partnership with the inventory process. Our research shows that 81% of landlords and 73% of tenants believe a full and concise inventory can help prevent disagreements arising.”
