The Teen Choice Awards took place last night in Los Angeles and Twitter’s teen contingent is making itself known with tweets in support of their favourite artists. Kidrauhl, for the uninitiated, is Justin Bieber’s screen name. “Lovatics” are fans of Demi Lovato, the American singer and child star who co-hosted the show.
RIP Amy Winehouse
Today is the one year anniversary of singer Amy Winehouse’s death from alcohol intoxication, aged just 27. Her father @mitchwindhouse tweets “Thank you all for your wonderful messages. We miss Amy so much but her / our work will continue. Long live Amy. Mitch.”
Dan our eternal Harry
Daniel Radcliffe, who is 23 today, may well have moved on to other projects, but as Twitter is determined to remind him, he will always be the a 12-year-old speccy wizard Harry Potter. @Universo_HP says “Happy Bday Daniel Radcliffe virou span, vamos usar agora Dan Our Eternal Harry.” Whatever that means.
Arab League
The Arab League have called on Syrian president Assad to step down, in exchange for a “safe exit”. @Remrom says “The Arab League said something. No one listend.”
