Is not joining Facebook a sign you’re a psychopath?

The Catch-Up Service is going to need more than one instalment to keep up with Questions to Which the Answer is No asked while I was away on my fact-finding mission.

Number 835, above, was asked by the Daily Mail on the sound statistical grounds that neither the Batman cinema shooter nor Anders Breivik was on Facebook.

Apparently a retired youth worker has written a letter (sorry, “penned a missive”) to David Cameron every day since March.

As Graham says, oh the irony of the Mail complaining about someone else complaining every day when that is what it has done for at least the last 30 years.

  First of all psychopath is not used anymore – the correct term is sociopath

  Secondly, the inference is that being a sociopath is a negative trait which is also incorrect – like most traits it exists on a axis of severe to slight – many successful people have sociopathic traits which work very much to their advantage and therefore benefit society.

  i did a quick google search of facebook and murder, and on the first page were two stories about people who had accounts on facebook being involved in murders, so its quite possible that we are more at risk from facebook users than non facebook users.
