John Rentoul

London 2012 Olympics medals table 300x181 It doesnt get any better than thisA bit late, but just to remind patrons of the Temporary Olympics Banned List, which, of course, applies to any sporting events at any time:

  1. To medal as a verb. To podium, ditto.
  2. “It doesn’t get any better than this.” Nominated by Terence Blacker.
  3. Legacy, especially as a verb. Rupa Ark and others.
  4. Great or other superlative “ambassador for the sport”.
  5. Execute, when used of sport. Stephanie Haberfield.

Meanwhile, let us catch up on other updates to the Supplementary Banned List:

  1. Part of the solution or part of the problem.
  2. “And yet. And yet.” Nominated by Jon Dennis.
  3. Anything-onomics. Stuart.
  4. Casino banking.
  5. Pivot, verb: to change one’s plan. Guy Herbert.

And let me remind you that the original Banned List e-book is still on special offer at Amazon, ready to download here for just 99p.

I myself like to use 128 percent-it marks me out as ever so slightly different and as ever I don’t give one for what anyone else thinks.
