RIP Tony Scott

The 68-year-old British film director Tony Scott has died after jumping from a bridge in Los Angeles, US authorities said today. Originally from North Shields and the younger brother of Alien director Ridley Scott, Tony Scott was loved and respected for films including True Romance, Top Gun and Days of Thunder. Director @RealRonHoward tweets “No more Tony Scott movies. Tragic day.”

Reports emerged from the V Festival over the weekend that pop singer and former X Factor CHECK contestant Cher Lloyd had either been booed off stage or st0rmed off after a bottle of urine was thrown at her.  @CherLloyd put on a brave face: “Thank you so much for all the nice messages, shame that a couple of people had to ruin it, unfortunately a glass bottle got thrown at me on stage.Tomorrow is another day,big love to my brats!!! Xxx”

The Real Madrid player is reported to be close to a deal with Manchester United, after Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho signaled he was open to a move earlier this month. So what’s the hold up? Various rumours are circulating. @TheAgentSource suggests “#mufc have been offered #kaka on loan, galzers believe he would be a good commercial signing, Fergie is unsure if he would improve the squad.”
