iBet: There will be goals at Vicarage Road tonight

Watford fans must be licking their lips about the future with Gianfranco Zola now in charge. It may take time for him to get the players in he wants and have them playing the type of attractive football the former Chelsea man is synonymous with. But they certainly showed great spirit in coming back from 2-1 down with two minutes to go to win at Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The game showed the good and the bad about Watford, who are full of attacking flair but do have a tendency to leak goals as well. Fans saw 65 goals in 23 league games at Vicarage Road last season, when they ended up in 11th spot but with a home goal difference of minus one, after a promising but up-and-down campaign.
Watford’s owners (the Pozzo family) also control Udinese and Granada, and Zola has already taken on five players on loan from these clubs. Two of them scored on Saturday, so the Zola revolution has already begun. Ipswich grabbed a 1-1 draw with Blackburn on Saturday. No-one conceded more than the 45 goals they shipped away from home last season when their games averaged over three goals.

Luton got off to a winning start in the Blue Square Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Hyde and are now best priced 2-1 to take the title at last.
