Cabinet #reshuffle: Theresa Villiers, Ken Clarke, Baroness Warsi, Justice Secretary
@Number10gov is having a tweeting frenzy this morning, as the first major reshuffle of the coalition Government gets underway. News out so far is that Theresa Villiers has been appointed as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, but commentators are suggesting this is just to make up a female quota. In a shock move, Baroness Warsi has been removed from her role as Conservative Party co-chairman. Tory Big Beast Ken Clarke has denied that being moved from Justice Secretary to minister without portfolio was a problem for him, telling reporters: “Being offered a job in the Cabinet at my age – don’t be daft. It’s rather a privilege, I think.” Chris Grayling will take his place.
Michael Clarke Duncan
Twitter awakes this morning to the news that the actor Michael Clarke Duncan, best-known for his role in The Green Mile, has died aged 54, following a heart attack. Tributes are pouring in.
George Osborne
George Osborne was booed yesterday at the Paralympic stadium. The Chancellor tried to shrug off the chorus of jeers, with limited success.
IDs
The hacker group AntiSec has allegedly leaked 1 million unique Apple IDs to the public, Mashable reports.
