iBet: Expect goals at The Valley tonight
Charlton v Crystal Palace, Championship , kick off 7.45pm, Sky Sports 1
Lay under 1.5 goals at 2.8 to one with Betfair
Crystal Palace have got off to a difficult start to the season. Dougie Freedman’s men lie one off the bottom and their problems seem to be at the back. They have conceded a division high of ten goals in four games and two of their three away fixtures have resulted in 4-1 thumpings.
The goals have come early too, with Palace falling behind in the ninth minute against Bristol City and the second minute at Preston (albeit in the Capital One Cup). But they know how to find the net and indeed their tally of six league goals is bettered by only eight of the 24 teams in the Championship. All the games they have played this season – four in the league and two in the cup – have gone over the 2.5 goals line.
Charlton are having an unspectacular time of it but four of their five games have produced at least two goals and it may be worth chancing that there will be at least two more tonight.
