iBet: It’s hard to see Wigan beating Everton

Premier League

Wigan v Everton, kick off 3pm

Lay Wigan at 3.4 to one with Betfair

The way Everton have been playing, perhaps the shock is that they have actually lost a game – a 2-0 reverse at West Brom. But The Baggies have won all three of their home fixtures and not conceded yet at the Hawthorns.

Wigan have not won at home yet, and have conceded six times at the DW Stadium. This is Everton’s best ever start to a Premier League season and the defeat at West Brom was their only one in their last eight at this level. Wigan have improved every year under Martinez, but even so, four points from six games is their worst ever start to the Premier League, and they have won just one of their last 13 against the Merseysiders. They have lost to Fulham and drew with Stoke at home and have conceded two goals in each of their last four home games. This represents a step up in class and if they concede twice again, it’s very hard indeed to see them beating Everton, who are conceding only one goal a game.

Advices

There are some big ties in Europe this Sunday including Marseille V PSG (8pm) and the Milan derby (7.45pm), but none of course bigger than El Classico – Barcelona v Real Madrid, which kicks off at 6.50pm. William Hill are keen to ‘get’ the home side and go the best price at 19/20, with the draw 3-1 (BetVictor) and Madrid a general 3-1 shot. Lionel Messi is 7/2 to score the first goal, with Christian Renaldo 5/1 with Hills.
