The solo sailing blog: A slightly traumatic day

I had somewhat of a traumatic day yesterday out at sea and had to make an emergency repair as HUGO BOSS’ hydro generator broke, in turn damaging the starboard tie bar of my rudder.

I am currently the leading British sailor, sitting in 6^th place in the race and holding onto the lead group. I’m just playing my own game and really I shouldn’t be as fast as them but somehow I seem to be, things are going right. I’ve got some great sails and I seem to be going in the right direction.
