There’s no question which team has the most motivation for this match-up. Shakhtar top Group E and are already through no matter what happens tonight. Juventus can be knocked out if they lose, and Chelsea do the business against Nordsjaelland. On paper it’s a big task for the Italians – Shakhtar have been un-touchable at home and indeed after 18 domestic games they lead the Ukranian top flight by a massive 13 points with a goal difference of plus 43! But motivation is the key factor here. The two teams have already shown they are evenly matched in a 1-1 draw in Turin, and there are few teams better at closing a game out if needed than the Italians, who almost never lose. Juventus did the hard work by beating Chelsea and they will name a full strength side here. Word is that Shakhtar manager Mircea Lucescu will rest key players. If he does, I will be laying the home side rather than backing the draw, which is now odds on.

Advices

Word is that India have insisted on a ‘used’ pitch for the third Test against England, which is expected to break up quickly and make batting difficult. If confirmed, that makes the draw less likely and a possible lay at 2.2 to one with Betfair.
