iBet: Espanyol are struggling up front
Spanish La Liga
Espanyol v Seville, kick off 8.30pm
Lay Espanyol at 1.84 to one with Betfair
Rock bottom Espanyol got off to a pretty dreadful start in La Liga – they didn’t win until October when they beat Rayo Vallecano at home and their only other win was a 1-0 victory at Real Sociedad at the start of November. They are not getting destroyed – indeed only four of their 16 games have had more than one goal in it. However, they are really struggling up front, and they have not scored in their last three games. Seville beat Real Madrid back in September and their home form is strong, although they are really struggling to score on their travels having notched only five in seven games. However, they have a psychological advantage over tonight’s rivals having beaten them 6-1 over two legs in the Copa del Rey, including a 3-0 victory at Espanyol two weeks ago, and that could be crucial. Seville are not in brilliant form in the league and are actually below Espanyol in the eight-match form table, but they carry more threat and I fancy them to at least secure a draw.
Advices
Inconsistent Blackburn (7/4 with BetVictor) take on Championship leaders Cardiff (9/5 with Blue Square) in tonight’s televised game. The draw has to be a runner at 5/2, but Cardiff’s away games average 3.7 goals and the best strategy in a tricky betting heat could be to lay under 1.5 goals at 3.4 to one with Betfair in tonight’s 7.45pm kick off.
