iBet: Stoke v Everton will be tight

Stoke v Everton, kick off Saturday 3pm

Lay over 3.5 goals at 3.6 to one with Betfair

Everton are one of the few Premier League teams I would fancy to come away from the Britannia Stadium with anything. Stoke manager Tony Pulis has his team so well marshalled that they have only conceded ten goals all season, and only two in their seven home games. It’s come at a price on entertainment though. Stoke are also scoring at less than a goal a game and at the Britannia, fans have seen an average of only 1.28 goals per game. This is nothing new – Stoke’s tally of 26 goals last season was also the lowest in the Premier League. The Potters haven’t been beaten at home in the last 14 (won seven, drawn seven), but if we made a table based on shots on goal per game, Stoke would be rock bottom with 8.75. Everton are playing much more expansively this season and indeed they are currently top of the ‘shots per game’ table with 16.88. However, they have only scored two goals in their last five matches against Stoke, and it all points to another tight, low-scoring encounter.

Liverpool have won at least ten corners in each of their last three Premier League home games, and Villa games are generally high in corners. You can buy total corners at 12.5 with Spreadex, or lay 9 corners and under on Betfair’s market.
