iBet: St Mirren v Motherwell are in contrasting form
Scottish SPL
St Mirren v Motherwell, kick off 7.45pm
Lay St Mirren at 2.4 to one with Betfair
This match-up sees two teams with greatly contrasting form go head to head, and it may pay to lay the home side on Betfair, which makes the draw a winner for us. Indeed if we look at the eight-match form guide for the SPL, Motherwell sit proudly on top with five wins, two draws and only one defeat in that run. Under Stuart McCall, The Well are having their best season for years, and lie in second spot overall after 18 games, only four points behind leaders Celtic. Their form on their travels has been even better than at Fir Park, with six wins and only one reverse in nine games, and an excellent away day goal difference of plus nine. St Mirren are struggling. They are second bottom in the SPL but are rock bottom of the eight-match form guide with only one win and five defeats in that run. They score a few but have the worst home defence in the division. Motherwell will fancy their chances.
Advices
John Bowles displayed nerves of steel and rock solid finishing to oust Jamie Caven 3-2 in a brilliant match in first round of the PDC World Darts. He’s clearly up against against Gary Anderson in Round Two – indeed he’s 8-1 to beat him – but you would fancy him to win a few legs and maybe even sets, so it could be worth betting on over 9.5 180s in the match at 8/11 with Sporting Bet. The match is scheduled for 3.20pm today.
