We have a ComRes opinion poll in tomorrow’s Independent on Sunday, shared with the Sunday Mirror. Last month’s poll had the Labour lead down to six points.
As well as asking people how they would vote, we asked them how they rated David Cameron compared with previous prime ministers since Harold Wilson (who became leader of the Labour Party 50 years ago this week). Thus we have compiled a league table of the eight prime ministers since 1964.
We also asked if people agreed or disagreed with these statements about meat:
I have stopped eating meat ready meals as a result of the reports of horsemeat in British food
I have stopped eating meat altogether as a result of the reports of horsemeat in British food
All meat imports should be banned until we can be sure of their origin
The Government has responded well to the findings of horsemeat in ready meals
We repeated our long-running series about which team people trusted on the economy:
I trust David Cameron and George Osborne to make the right decisions about the economy
I trust Ed Miliband and Ed Balls to make the right decisions about the economy
And finally we asked a couple of questions about the Pope’s abdication:
It would be a positive step for the Catholic church if they chose an African as their next Pope
The Catholic church is a force for good in the world
I shall post the results here this evening. The tables will be on the ComRes website.Tagged in: comres, opinion polls
