iBet: Hamilton’s consistency may win the day against ‘Hot and Cold’ Lewis
PDC Darts League
Andy Hamilton V Adrian Lewis, tonight 7.10pm
Back Andy Hamilton at 6/4
Andy Hamilton’s stats for this year’s PDC League are better in almost every important department than Adrian Lewis’ and in my opinion he should not be the outsider of the two to win tonight’s clash. Lewis has won two of his last three including a surprise victory against league leader Michael Van Gerwen, but he’s still flirting with relegation after a poor start. Hamilton is fifth in the table but he is on the same points as Phil Taylor in second. His three-dart average over the seven matches so far is higher than Lewis’ (96.47 to 91.63) he’s won more matches (four to Lewis’ two) and has a higher checkout percentage (39.6 per cent to 33.67 per cent). On the fixed odds Hamilton is 6/4 with Lewis 6/5 and the draw 7/2. Lewis can blow hot and cold but he is not consistent. The draw is always a runner in these contests and if you want it on your side, you can lay Lewis at around 11/8 with Betfair.
If you saw Jose Mourinho’s interview on Sky Sports you can only have come to the conclusion that he’s leaving Real Madrid in the summer and coming back to England, not least because his daughter will be studying in the UK. There’s been a major gamble on The Special One returning to Chelsea and he’s been cut from as big as 2/1 to 4/9.
