iBet: Don’t expect a goal fest at the Den…
Millwall V Ipswich, kick off 3pm
Lay over 3.5 goals at 3.9 to one with Betfair
Ipswich thumped Leeds 3-0 in their last game but that was an exception to the rule – their games are usually pretty low on goals and indeed it was 0-0 when Leeds had Tom Lees dismissed in the first half. No-one in The Championship has scored fewer goals than Ipswich’s tally of 39 and away from home their scoring record is pretty dire. Mick McCarthy’s men have notched only 12 times in 19 games on their travels – that’s five less than anyone else in the division. They have got it together at the back though and have only conceded four times in their last ten games. And Millwall is not a team to be frightened of on the attacking from as they are the joint lowest scorers at home in the division. So we have the lowest scorers away from home against the joint lowest scorers at home. I would be surprised if there were four goals here.
Burnley have won only one of their last 11 games and a fixture against the division’s most in-form team is probably not what the doctor ordered. Nottingham Forest’s 2-2 draw with Brighton on Saturday ended a run of six wins in a row and I make Burnley a ‘lay’ at 1.9 to one with Betfair.
