iBet: Stoke need a win at QPR… But can they get it?
QPR V Stoke, kick off 3pm
Lay Stoke at 2.7 to 1 with Betfair
It’s almost crept up on Stoke that they are right in the thick of a relegation battle but whether they can turn things around or not remains to be seen. They are in their worst slump in Tony Pulis’s reign – in fact this year they have triumphed in only one of their 13 Premier League games – their only win being a 2-1 victory at home to rock bottom Reading, who are in turn the only team lower than them in the eight-match form table. Of course a game against second bottom QPR may be just what they doctor ordered, but you could have said a similar thing about their fixture against Aston Villa two games ago before they slumped to a deserved 3-1 home defeat. Harry Redknapp’s men may be doomed, but they have been playing pretty well of late including recent wins against Southampton and Sunderland. Stoke are the lowest scorers away from home in the division with only nine goals in 16 games.
Spurs are now as big as 11/8 to finish in the top four in the Premier League and they are 9/4 to beat in-form Manchester City on Sunday. Betfair fixed odds are offering cashback up to £50 bets on correct scorer, first goal scorer and last goal scorer markets if Yaya Toure scores at any time. They have the same offer on Steven Gerrard in the Liverpool V Chelsea fixture.
