I can’t remember a year I haven’t been to a Field Day that hasn’t been hijacked by horrendous weather – or left me held hostage in my own body by sunburn.

This year though the two-day East London festival is set to welcome an altogether more jovial type of hijacker – ones from Transgressive, who will be unleashing some of their roster at random over the weekend.

Decks on all stages across the festival will be taken over by twenty different artists, from Leeds rockers Pulled Apart by Horses, modern pop impressarios Mystery Jets, London’s own Dry the River, or newer talent such as Marika Hackman, Becoming Real, Theme Park and Thumpers.

Tom Baker, the brains behind Field Day said: “Eat Your Own Ears and Field Day have had a long history with Toby and Tim and Transgressive over the many, many years. They have built an incredible roster of acts and are always forward thinking and inspirational in their approach.

“It’s a real pleasure to host and welcome some of the brilliant Transgressive artists, some familiar, some brand-new, to Field Day to play special DJ sets across the stages.”

If you’re heading to Victoria Park this weekend, here’s who you should be looking out for…
