Alistair Griffin is a singer/songwriter, who first rose to success after appearing on the second series of BBC's 'Fame Academy' in 2003. He is a passionate sport fan and his latest album ‘Albion Sky’ is fast becoming a stalwart hub for sporting themes, with single 'Just Drive' being the theme to Formula 1 and 'Always No 1' being used to close Murray’s semi final win at Wimbledon.

Last weekend I was lucky enough to be at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. I say lucky not only because it’s one of this countries most iconic sporting events and I was allowed to sing to the crowds, but lucky just to be there at all as treacherous weather conditions conspired against me and thousands of F1 fans travelling to Silverstone
