Brian Sears

Brian Sears is one of Britain's most original and entertaining football statisticians, whose work has appeared on national platforms, including in the sports pages of The Independent, regularly over the past decade. Brian is a man who has forgotten more football stats than most people will ever know; think John Motson on a keen day, in a three-layered anorak. He's a lifelong Watford fan, yet still loves football: true devotion. He won’t tell you who made 12 assists and completed 76 per cent of their passes (yawn), but he always gives food for thought. (99.72 per cent of the time, anyway). He's also the in-house statistician at sportingintelligence.com.
