Dr Adam Hill is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Dr Hill is also SAC Chair Respiratory and Associate PG Dean SE Scotland (Quality Management). He is one of the leading experts on Bronchiectasis, with extensive subject knowledge, and is greatly involved in the work of the BTS.
Bronchiectasis, first described by Rene Laennec in 1819, is a common long term respiratory condition caused by permanently damaged airways. Over one in 1000 people in the UK now suffer from the disease.
