Nigel is the Chair of Bipolar UK’s Wales Advisory Panel and was finally diagnosed with bipolar having been mis-diagnosed and untreated for many years. Nigel has lived in Newport, South Wales since 1984 (except for 2 years "missionary work" in Shropshire, England in the late 1980s).
When I tell people I have bipolar these days the response I get is quite different to how it was just a few years ago. The old response was “What’s that?” but nowadays I’m more likely to hear “Catherine Zeta Jones has that!” or “Isn’t Robbie Williams bipolar?”
