The win for ethics is a loss for therapies
The decision by the Court of Justice for the European Union (CJEU) on stem cell patents is a major blow to the UK’s biopharmaceutical industry and is one of the most definitive rulings yet to come down on the side of ethics over therapies. However, supporters of the Court’s decision may not be expecting what is likely to happen next.
