William Hague should say sorry to the Chagos Islanders and restore the right of return
Yesterday, there was huge disappointment amongst Chagossian communities in Port Louis, Mahe, Crawley, Manchester, Geneva and Montréal. A seven-judge chamber of the European Court of Human Rights decided by majority that the case regarding the right of return of the exiled islanders was inadmissible.

What television programme would you watch before the end of the world?
Today could have been the end of the world as we know it… which would have been a right pain in the behind when you consider this weekend sees the finale of both Homeland AND Merlin. Those Mayans certainly pick their moments to predict an Armageddon.

I was in my bunk this morning when the pilot accidentally gybed the boat in about 25 knots of wind. It was not an enjoyable moment – in an instant having your whole world turn on its side.
