Ross Kemp reveals swollen face after suffering wasp sting

Ross Kemp has shared a video of himself with extremely swollen lips after his face was stung by “three or four wasps”.

The TV presenter and former EastEnders star was attacked by a nest of wasps on his nose and lips while opening a hatch to an attic, causing his mouth to swell up.

“I look like Mick Jagger don’t I?” he can be seen joking in a video posted to his Twitter.

“Well, that’s what happens when you get stung by about three or four wasps in a nasal and lip area.

“Be careful of those critters, don’t go upsetting them by opening up a loft space without asking their permission first.”

Kemp went on to thank the NHS for treating him for the stings in other videos that showed his lips increasing in size.

He also attempted to sing The Rolling Stones classic “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, before giving up.

“Ow, it hurts a bit,” he said.

Earlier this year, Kemp fronted the BBC documentary Britain’s Volunteer Army, meeting people who have stepped forward to help others in response to the coronavirus crisis. He can next be seen in the romantic film Snapshot Wedding.
