What to buy the gamer in your life for Christmas? There are no Wiis to be found for love nor money and splashing out on a PS3 is above and beyond what most people can afford to do. Thank goodness for a US company called TN Games that has created the 3rd Space FPS Vest, a fetching waistcoat that is hooked up to an air compressor and a power unit. The reason? To simulate the feeling of being shot in the chest or stomach and add an extra frisson of excitement to PC war games. The jacket works with Call of Duty II and its own gaming title, while patches for Quake, versions three and four, and Doom 3 are available too. It costs $189 and comes in the black and camo versions pictured, plus in a fetching pink for, I imagine, lady gamers out there.

How about splashing out on a book? If they're gaming all the time, they could probably do with a good read. I'd recommend a really low-tech title like Nothing to Write Home About, old John Hinde postcards collected by Michelle Abadie and Sue Beale.

A Book? You cant frag tag some one with a book or snipe them from the other side of a forest. Interesting though, you could hit them with it if they got close enough.
Wacked on the bonce by 'Nothing to Write home about'. Ouch!
