There's only a month to go until the second annual Virtual World Conference that's taking place 3-4 April in New York City. That's the real NYC, not an online re-imagining. There are already a host of speakers lined up including Google, Habbo and IBM.
Mattel and Disney will also be represented so it looks like Barbie, Mickey and co could be about to boost their cyber presences.
According to a recent study, £425m was invested in virtual worlds companies in the past three months of 2007 alone so it's no surprise that there will be seminars on "Legal Issues in Virtual Currency" and "Virtual Good: The New Way to Revenue" at the event. I wonder if there'll be a virtual version taking place on Second Life?
