Loathe as I am to posture as some kind of Iron Woman, the one thing I have recently learned to do is run. Not very far. But we all need our personal triumphs, so if hoofing my red face through the smog a few times a week makes me happy, who are you to judge?
As part of this fleeting (it's bound to be) Roadrunner persona, I've happened upon an excellent web-shop called Ransacker. It combines three things which are welcomed here at Shopping Bag: a useful service, a cheeky bargain, and a donation to charity.
It works simply and effectively, like a mouse-trap, if you imagine the running shoe as a mouse (is this metaphor working for you?), and the trap to be the internet:
1. Type in the name of the running shoes you're looking for
2. The site will ''RANsack" the web looking for the best bargain
3. Buy the trainers from the cheapest site, and Ransacker will then donate HALF the commission they get from the retailer to one of their chosen charities
Even better, they don't do any advertising, relying solely on word of mouth, like an old-skool enterprise. And they make everything so speedy and feel-good that there's barely any time for questions like "What am I running from?" and "Is this what they mean by the loneliness of the long-distance runner?"

Great site. This is the internet working at its best, long tail, niche, et al.

I think someone should give this woman a blog about running.
