Ah yes that's right. It was just over a week ago that Fiddy turned his attention to politics. (Or rather his lack of attention: he began, if you remember, by lending that all-important endorsement to Hillary, only to switch in favour of Obama and then switch back in favour of... no one. In the man's own words: "50 Cent, he don't know so don't ask Fiddy." )
Anyways, forget politics man. It's all about acting now.
Actually this isn't the first time the playa's turned player (just don't mention Home of the Brave, ok? It's still a little raw.) He also played himself to varied reviews in 2005's Get Rich or Die Tryin' - of course being inevitably opposed to anything with such blatantly consumerist overtones blah blah blah, we felt obliged to restrain ourselves from rushing to to box office and forming a queue the very moment it opened. But this time things are different: Fiddy's going indie. After all, anything Eminem can do... well, you know.
And we're totally buying it. I mean why shouldn't we? Apparently they've got none other that Joshua Leonard directing - star of The Blair Witch Project, aka The Indie Flick To End All Indie Flicks (we mean that quite literally). And it's set in jail - not only a bona-fide ho-free zone but also a fool-proof sign that a film is, like, totally serious and stuff. But beyond that we don't know much.
Oh, except the title: Spectacular Regret. (Ok People, give them a break, will you? IT'S A WORK IN PROGRESS.)
