Of the rumours that Vladimir Putin is planning to marry Alina Kabaeva, the nubile, 24-year-old rhythmic gymnast with a penchant for posing semi-naked, perhaps the creepiest comment comes from Kabaeva's father. From the Daily Mail:
"Last night, her father muddied the waters when he said he hadn't heard if his daughter was marrying or not. But he added: 'If she marries such a man it will be great. He's quite similar to me.'"
Now, I realise that scientists have proved that women tend to pick men who are similar to their fathers, but this seems to be a bit too close for comfort.

Now God only can help those Russian media guys! Get ready to face the Putin's ire once he comes back home after finishing the Italy trip. This event should be an eye opener for British News channels too...

Looks like the Russian paper that broke the story (the Moskovsky Korrespondent)has now been closed\suspended due to "financial circumstances" and is expected to start publishing again shortly under the aegis of a new editor.
