Red Lasso is a website that didn't get a mention in an interesting article in the paper last week looking at online TV sites like BBC's iPlayer, Al Gore's Current TV and web streaming portal Wwi TV.
Offering very high quality streaming of large swathes of American TV and radio, Red Lasso seems to be setting itself up as a resource for other media outlets. You have to register to use it and its offers edit and embed functions, allowing you to run just the bits you want on your own site.
Of course if you just fancy seeing, say, electro artist Santogold perform a track from her highly anticipated new album on last night's Conan O'Brien show, you can do that too...
And it's certainly a handy resource for keeping track of major American news events like... the controversial Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photoshoot.
Here's an anchor from CNN's "Headline News" who's damned opposed to the photo. Ellen Degeneres on the other hand takes the brouhaha a bit more in her stride, but perhaps the opinion of Fox News blow-hard and all round moron Bill O'Reilly is more your bag...

I really think thats not a sexually photo at all.All the magazines want to do is make quick money and gossip at the same time.I really don't blame Miley or the photographer.Neither do I blame the parents.Miley is not perfect she can sometimes make mistakes.I really don't think disney should fire her either.I am also blaming the internet and the media for treating this like a scandal.

Adult executives know better. They just don’t seem to DO better.
There is nothing innocent about an adult magazine portraying a 15 year old pretending to be naked, hair tousled, wrapped in a bed sheet.

Seriously though, I have used the redlasso myself and love it. I can make my own clips and digg them (or whatever, not all of us have the visibility you do)
