Chad has responded angrily after Sudan accused its neighbour of involvement in Saturday's rebel attack on Khartoum and Omdurman. Not content with closing the border and banning all financial transactions between the two countries, Chad has decided to hit Sudan where it hurts. They've banned Sudanese music.
A crackdown of a more serious nature appears to be taking place in Khartoum. Human Rights Watch believe some of those arrested since the attack have been tortured. At least two, they claim, have been "summarily executed in public". The Sudanese news agency has said that 300 people have been arrested so far.

Why is no-one asking an obvious question: Who provided JEM with enough "technicals", fuel and ammunition to mount an unprecedented assault across hundreds of miles of open desert, apparently managing to avoid detection until they reached the outskirts of Khartoum (which suggests access to reconaissance satellite imagery)?
Sudan blames Chad, but surely others were involved. I wonder who...

hmm, Steve Bloomfield, wasn't the TFG supposed to be the only warlords in Somalia??
It seems like bigger warlords, like Yusuf "Indho Ade" Mohamed Siad, are part of your Islamic Courts Union that you seem have been worshipping. in fact, warlord Indho ade, who massacre thousands of somalis for many years was a defense chief of your Islamic courts union (ICU)
check here http://www.somalinet.com/news/world/Somalia/15501 for latest.
the fact that warlords are top military rulers inside the ICU totally ridicules all your pro-ICU anti-warlord useless articles that misinformed the public.
Your endless myths have misinformed all of us. Your original myth that the ICU friends brought peace for 6 months while terrorizing mogadishu and promising war against TFG, puntland was the most laughable one. While TFG and the TFG President Yusuf established peace in Baidoa and Puntland for many years, you were praising the ICU for enforcing "peace" in small parts of southern somalia just for a couple of months.
Now your other myth that ICU is angel and TFG is warlord is exposed by the media. all of us, except you and your viewers know that the ICU fully depended on non-Mogadishu based brutal warlords to come to power but your attempt to sell your article claiming that only TFG had warlords was despicable!
keep up the sub par journalism.
