MixTape: Unfinished Monkey Beefin'

With perfect timing to promote their annoyingly good
second album, The Kooks' frontman Luke Pritchard has revealed that he once kicked Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner in the face.
The claims were announced in a "shock" interview with the Daily Mirror, who subsequently stated:
"we're in for the biggest rock'n'roll punch up since Oasis and Blur were at each others throats."
Sadly this isn't the first time Luke "the pugilist" Pritchard has found himself engaged in the sinister world of "band beefing". According to the NME the tousle-haired rocker's spiky tongue once led Mandela's mate Johnny Borrell to declare:
"If he feels like he has to slag people off to keep up, then I'm sure his nights are long and those moments of doubt are really painful"
It's not quite the east coast/west coast rap wars of the mid 90s but about as much as you could expect from a couple of indie troubadours in tight pants.

I'm not sure Luke Pritchard should start billing himself as the new Liam Gallagher just yet. In fact I'm not sure he's even the new Damon Albarn!

The Independent gave that Kooks album 4/5 stars?! Dear God, it is the most soul-destroyingly bland thing I've heard in a while, and I have no problem with "uncool" music.

Definitely not the new Damom Albarn.
Possibly the new Alex James though: ubiquitous, suburban, dubious haircut.

Do not despair Tom, our Sunday reviewer had this to say on the release:
"Pritchard's revolting warbly voice and grotesque glottal stops, and his bandmates' bloody awful busker rock are nauseating enough at the best of times, but when he enquires "Do you wanna make love to me", you marvel at V2's cruelty in not providing a complimentary sickbag."

Luke Pritchard has no right to kick Alex Turner. Alex is a genius and Arctic Monkeys are the best band since The Stone Roses burst onto the scene. The Kooks on the other hand are a load of rubbish
