Wild Wild Web: The 9/11 Archive

911 By Larry Ryan

The September 11 Television Archive is a fascinating collection of news reports from the day (and the days following) the 2001 terrorist attacks on America.

Starting with an introductory video (below) showing how the attacks were reported in the US and around the world, it also offers the moment-by-moment coverage that the US TV networks and the BBC conducted at the time.

It's interesting to see an extremely important piece of recent history unfold again, while such an idea could be utilised as a readily available resource for any number of major events covered on television.

Noteworthy is seeing exactly how TV news covered the events; how quickly it was turned into a major TV spectacle with catchy names, graphics and swooshing noises. By about 4pm on the day Fox News had started labelling their coverage "Attack On America". The next afternoon their graphics department had whipped up a natty logo.

It's also rather eerie watching a bog-standard breakfast show on ABC with segments about the ageing process of your pets and an interview with Fergie knowing what horrors are about to take place.

The whole thing is the work of the Internet Archive - a non-profit organisation building an extensive digital library of websites, text, audio, moving images, software and educational resources.

Interestingly this video also shows all screw-ups and evidence on 9/11 TV-, Video- and Media Fakery ;

I wonder how many news reporters feel embarrassed about their coverage on that day. I am refering to the coverage on the BBC news about WTC 7 collapsing. This was reported a full 20+ minutes before it actualy collapsed. How is that possible?
Now I am no conspiracy theorist but rather an intrigued individual about the whole world media reports on that day and since. Only a small few have dared to suggest that all is not what it seems and yet due to this they are ridiculed by the media which only suggests further questions.

This archive is valuable for those who want to take a closer look at the linchpin 911 mass casualty event: the event that provided the BushBlairCo with an instant mandate for Middle Eastern geo-political manouevres.
This archive might prove as valuable as Paul Thompson's meticulous '911 Timeline: Day by Day, Hour by Hour, Minute by Minute".
Thompson's Timeline and archived video coverage serve to highlight the anomalies: like the fact that a BBC reporter told us of the WTC7 collapse a full 20 minutes before the event - even though it had not been hit by a plane.
The Osama and 19 Arabs 'legend' that emerged on TV - complete with images, DNA evidence and soundbytes - before the smoke had even cleared from Ground Zero is also fascinating.
Archives reveal the 'Pentagon military experts' or 'message force multipliers' who rapidly filled the TV studios to fill us in on Mo Atta and the Flying Cessna Circus. These 'experts' have recently been exposed and can be clearly identified in archive footage.

Phil Hayton announced the collapse of world trade centre 7, 20 minutes early. He only realised his mistake recently and was incredibly shocked. The BBC's response? First they said they didn't know anything about it, then they said they had lost the entire output of BBC broadcast for 9/11! Phil Hayton didn't even remember being in the studio that day but finally remembered after repeated prompting.
